Oy!

So Mother's Day was great, we had a blast for the most part. David made me a nice card and got flowers for me (with Daddy's help of course!) We had a wonderful dinner with everyone and Jason got back last night so it was really great. David missed him a lot. We got Bonnie a webcam so that she can Skype with the kids when we move. We spent a couple of hours testing it out, it is pretty neat! You can do so many things and it is very easy to use. So that made her happy, even though the move is really hard and sad for her.

I wish David would listen though. No matter what I do he just ignores me until he has consequences, and even then he doesn't *really* listen. I don't know, its frustrating. Everyone says its the age and that they will test and such, but when he starts acting way out of line especially in public it makes me very not happy. Keep working on it I guess.

Back to my moving list! Appointment for Elijah's 6 month checkup and shots in an hour and a half!

Skirts

So when I move back to WI I want to learn to make my own modest clothing, among other things. Some of the recommended fabrics for winter are twill, denim and courderoy, as well as various cotton or cotton poly blends. Rayon is used a lot in peasant/boho type skirts, but it is hand wash only which I find rather tedious, I have a few of these from the thrift store already. A-line and/or peasant and tiered skirts seem to be the best options. Learning new things is fun :)

So today has been a busy day for me. My family and I are moving to Wisconsin in less than a month and there is so much to do to prepare for it. I feel like all I'm doing is making lists and barely getting my day to day stuff done, especially since Elijah is getting teeth and growing and David is 3 and clingy. But somehow it will all get done I am sure. I put an add on craigslist for some boxes and moving materials so hopefully i will be able to get that checked off the list. I've also been busy trying to get set up for school. I am going to train to do medical transcription work. I'm going to go get busy now, will write more later!

First Thoughts

Well, this is my first post. I have not had an online blog/journal for a couple of years now, but I thought it would be a good avenue to use to get my thoughts out of my head and out somewhere that I can see them. I'm not sure whether to use this first post as a mini-biography or just to type what I am thinking and feeling right now, so what I think I am going to do is leave it off here, and maybe fill out some biographical information on the profile. That way when I come back I can just start writing!
